Green and pink tourmaline on alabaster – 678 grams
A rich and sparkling specimen from Paprok, Afghanistan, weighing 678 grams and measuring approximately 14.5 × 8 × 6 cm. The green and pink tourmaline crystals are scattered in a playful fan pattern across the white alabaster matrix. The green crystals are translucent and clear, while the pink tourmaline lends the piece a soft and harmonious appearance.
Tourmaline forms in pegmatite veins created by the slow cooling of mineral solutions deep within the Earth’s crust. Under these conditions, beautiful and pure crystals can grow. Paprok is known worldwide as a source of high-quality multicolored tourmaline. The alabaster (often calcite or lepidolite-like in these combinations) provides a beautiful contrast to the colors of the tourmaline and highlights the crystal structures.
Green tourmaline promotes vitality and healing, while pink tourmaline fosters comfort and love. This combination is visually striking and energetically balanced—ideal for collectors, energy work, or as an eye-catching accent in a room.
